Meet our board members
Jeff Byrd is a Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of the Denison Forum on Truth and Culture, a ministry designed to equip Christians to change the culture for God's Kingdom. Prior to co-founding Denison Forum, Jeff served at Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas as the Associate Pastor for Missions. He also served at churches in Atlanta, Georgia and Midland, Texas, after a career in the market place. He has a Masters of Business Administration, and a Bachelors of Science in Industrial Engineering from Texas Tech University.
Cameron Canter is a graduate of Dallas Baptist University where he received his undergraduate in Business and his Master’s Degree in Finance. Cameron is the Head of Core Solutions and Services at Broadridge Financial Solutions in Coppell Texas and has held other leadership roles with IBM, ADP and Fidelity Investments. Cameron attends and is actively involved at Bent Tree Bible Fellowship with his wife Sharon, son Grant and daughter Tori. Cameron and his family also involved in the local community through service and various organization like the North Texas Food Bank, Brother Bills Helping hands and Christian Community Action. The entire Canter family serves annually in Cuba ministering and loving their people.
Mike Congrove is the Executive Director of Empower One, a Christian, non-profit ministry that trains leaders, starts churches, and works to transform communities in South Sudan. Prior to starting Empower One, Mike was both the Sudan Country Director and Africa Regional Director for e3 Partners Ministry. Before entering ministry Mike worked at AT&T and Accenture.
Bob Hefner is a life long and active member of Park Cities Baptist Church in Dallas. He is a past Chairman of the Board of Deacons. Mr. Hefner is the founder of the Pilchers Group a Dallas based real estate ownership and development firm specializing in mid market retail shopping centers. Bob and Laura Hefner are active in Christian missions through a number of ministries in Africa, Guatemala, Bangladesh and Cuba. Mr. Hefner and his wife make their home in Dallas. They have seven grandchildren to whom they are devoted and spend lots of time cruising their boat on the East Coast as well as through the Bahama Islands.
Alfie Pino is a graduate of the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and an anesthesiologist in Dallas. He has served on the board of directors of the Greater Dallas Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Dallas Summer Musicals, the Fellowship of Deacons at First Baptist Church Dallas and Park Cities Baptist Church. He currently serves on the board of The Latino Coalition, a national Hispanic business organization, and is Chairman of the Board of Cush Empowerment Group, the parent organization of ELNAC.
Eddie Marshall is a 35 year member of Fellowship Bible Church Dallas. A graduate of the University of Texas in Austin, Eddie now serves on the board of Directors of The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas. Eddie spent his career in a number of sales, services and marketing leadership positions at IBM, Lawson Software, and most recently, Microsoft. He and his wife Lori live in Dallas, TX. They, along with their two college kids, have developed a passion for Cuba and its people.
Bill McCann is the owner of Continental Battery Co. in Dallas, Texas where he has worked since graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Business Administration. He and his wife Jennifer are active members of Park Cities Baptist Church where they are leaders in the Nearly Wed Department and Bill serves as an active deacon. He currently serves as a member of the Salesmanship Club of Dallas development board and formerly served in leadership roles on Brother Bill’s Helping Hand board in West Dallas. Bill and Jennifer live in Dallas and have two daughters; Katie, married to Peter Crow and Molly, married to Kaleb Kyser.
