For decades the Cuban people have lived with limited access to quality healthcare and over-the-counter medications. However, since the COVID-19 pandemic began over 2 years ago, it has been impossible for them to get any medications. Even in their hospitals and clinics, they don’t have basic medical supplies like gloves and pain medications.
In response to this crisis, since reopening the country to travel in November 2021, the Cuban government has allowed unlimited amounts of medication and medical supplies to be brought in by those traveling to Cuba.
Already Proclaim Cuba has taken over 1,000 lbs. of over-the-counter medications and medical supplies to Cuba. Our network of 73 churches across the island serves as distribution points for delivering the medications to their communities. Through this outreach, our pastors are able to show the tangible hope and provision of Jesus. As a result, hearts have been opened to the gospel message through meeting this crucial need.
