COUNCIL

WISE COUNSEL. FOCUSED PRAYER. ADVOCACY.

As an Advisory Council member, your input is needed in three key areas, wise council, focused prayer, and advocacy. This page will serve as an information hub for current and past Advisory Council communications keeping you up to date on current events in Cuba and the ministry.

YOUR GUIDE:

What's New?

WHAT'S NEW?

We hope your Easter was filled with joy and reflection on the profound sacrifice of love that allows us to be reconciled with God. As we navigate a world fraught with challenges, including recent unrest in Cuba, we are grateful for the opportunity to share the good news and extend hope to those in need.

Join us in our mission to embrace Cuba in 2024. Your participation is integral to our efforts to empower and uplift communities. We invite you to our upcoming Advisory Council meeting on Friday, May 3rd, where we'll explore the benefits and considerations of a potential ministry name change over lunch. Register now to secure your spot and let us know your meal preferences.

As we celebrate stories of resilience, Carlos shares inspiring news of a church in Havana on our Communication de Carlos. Watch the video to witness the transformative power of connectedness within the body of Christ.

IMPORTANT DATES

Save the date for "The Ray" Golf Tournament on Monday, June 10th, at Tour-18 course in Flower Mound. Join us for a day of golfing fun while supporting over 10,000 kids in need. Sponsorship opportunities are still available, including our air cannon sponsorship—don't miss out on the chance to make a difference!

Looking ahead, mark your calendars for Passport to Cuba on Saturday, September 7th, at the Westin Galleria - Dallas Ballroom. Become a table host or sponsor to help us create a memorable event for Pastor Alamino and our team.

And don't forget about Cuba Coffee Hours—a perfect opportunity to gather with friends, family, or small groups and support our mission over a cup of coffee.

FOCUSED PRAYER REQUESTS

  • Mission Work in Cuba and Support for Churches: Please lift up our mission work in Cuba amidst the challenges of food and energy shortages and protests. Pray for the churches in Cuba facing daily obstacles, that they may be strengthened in their faith and leadership roles, and continue to grow despite hardships.

  • Upcoming Events and Continued Advocacy: As we prepare for upcoming events like "The Ray" Golf Tournament and Passport to Cuba, please pray for their success and impact in raising funds and awareness for our ministry's work. Also, pray for continued support, both in terms of financial contributions and advocacy efforts, for our mission in Cuba.

  • Service and Tech Programs: Pray for the success of the Service Program and the newly launched Tech Donation Program, that these efforts would effectively serve the needs of pastors, leaders, and seminary professors in Cuba.
